Twirligirli (TG) is a family-run business based in Bayou Vista, TX. Owner, Cathy Elzner, launched TG in 2007 with the idea of selling her signature gown for girls. Since then, the business has evolved into a line of “play wear” for boys and girls. Our mission is to create products that are foremost fun and comfortable and that inspire imagination, play, and bravery. We sell our clothes primarily through our online Etsy shop and at vendor markets around Houston/Galveston throughout the year. Join our mailing list for updates on market dates or reach out to us anytime.
Since 2007, Twirligirli has reached out its helping hands to kids in need across the globe. We have gifted our products to four countries in Africa as well as kids here at home: the Hurricane Ike disaster of 2008 and an on-going donation program with Shriners Hospital in Galveston, TX where Twirligirli helps make hospital gowns for children. Meet the team:
CAT STOVALL Owner/Creator
Cathy started making gowns for her growing daughter after noticing how difficult it was to find sleep and play wear that was comfortable, simple, and pretty. The Twirligirli gown was born and her daughter loved them so much, she never took them off! In 2007, Cathy launched her business and it continues to grow by the year. Her heart and mission of Twirligirli is to brighten the lives of children, especially those in need. Cathy is also a Nia instructor, musician, and Starbucks junkie!
A Midwest native turned Texan, Meagan joined the TG team and family in 2013. Daughter-in-law to Cathy, she has proven to be a blessing of multitudes! With a BS in Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising from Missouri State University, her talent, expertise, and eye for detail and quality bring fresh air and new possibilities to Twirligirli. Meagan is a proud mother of two, a beekeeper, and staunch supporter of Andy’s ice cream.
Carly is the daughter of owner, Cat, and the original Twirligirli. Carly adored the comfortable, breezy, easy gowns her mother made so much that she was rarely without. She helps run the website, Etsy shop, and graphics as well as designs and creates products for Twirligirli. She is an artist living in the Panhandle and loves any excuse to be outside.
Long-term friend of Cat, Christi has been a great support from the early stages of Twirligirli. A creative soul with brains to boot, she helps fuel the business with new ideas, directions, and artistic offerings. Check out the talented Christi Hellrung’s works here.
